How We Are Serving You During the Age of COVID-19
Our nation’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic has changed many things—if even just for the time being.
One thing we never wish to change, however, is our commitment to providing our patients the help they need, when they need it.
So in these times, we are taking multiple measures to remain available to you while keeping your safety and reducing your risk of exposure as our highest priority.
To continue providing high-quality medical service, we are following the strictest and most up-to date CDC guidelines to ensure a safe, healthy, minimal-contact, and disease-free environment for our patients and staff. This has meant implementing new changes to the way we offer our services and how we run our offices, which we are outlining here.
Offering Telemedicine Appointments
If you do not have a foot or ankle matter that requires direct or urgent care—initial consultations or follow-up appointments, for example—then we can schedule a telemedicine appointment so you can meet with Dr. Olacio via videoconferencing.
A telemedicine appointment is easy and requires next-to-no setup. If you have a device with a microphone, a camera, and a connection to the Internet, you have basically all you need.
Visit our Telemedicine webpage to learn more about this service.
Offering Valet Medicine Appointments
Not every need can be properly addressed via telemedicine, of course. Some matters can’t wait, and we are still accepting patients with such needs for in-office appointments.
If you must come for an in-office appointment, rest assured we are enacting a host of measures to reduce exposure risks for you, other patients, and our staff. Some of these measures include:
- Screening patients for symptoms of illness before setting an appointment.
- Bypassing the wait time in the lobby by waiting in your car until we have an exam room ready for you, then escorting you directly to it.
- Requiring staff members wear respirators or CDC-approved face masks to ensure a healthy environment, and that all patients entering also wear a mask. We will supply a mask if you do not have one.
- Having anyone who enters our practice use a 70% ethyl alcohol-based hand sanitizer found at the entrance.
- Extending appointment times to strictly limit the number of people in the office at one time.
- Thoroughly disinfecting and cleaning exam rooms and other areas between patients with EPA registered hospital-grade disinfectants such as Lysol and Clorox-based products.
- Ensuring our staff is continually washing their hands.
You can see more details on these measures and others we are taking by visiting our Valet Services page.
Providing No-Contact Curbside Pickup of Dispensed Products
If there is a product you regularly receive from us, or we recommend something new as part of a telemedicine appointment, you will not have to worry about a delay in receiving it.
Any products you need from our office can be ordered and paid for over the phone, via credit card. Once ordered, come to our office and call to let us know you’re here. A staff member wearing gloves and a mask will bring your order out to you.
An extra item we are offering via curbside pickup is our DIY Deluxe Spa Pedicure in a Box. We know some of you have been yearning for a way to pamper your feet and nails safely, and we have the just the package to do so.
Our Deluxe Pedicure in a Box has Tea Tree Ultimate Soaking Crystals, Disposable Pedicure Set, Nourishing Foot Scrub, Prescription strength Heel Liniment, and Dr. Remedy’s Vegan Nail Polish infused with organic, naturally healing ingredients.
And there’s no better way to finish your spa than with Parasilk Enhanced Paraffin Wax for intensive treatment to restore, replenish, and soothe dry, tired, and aging feet. You will feel rejuvenated!
Mailing Custom Orthotics to You
If you have been prescribed custom orthotics, it remains very important to get them to you and properly fitted within good time.
We can mail your custom orthotics (as well as supportive footwear such as our Vionic shoes and slippers) out to you so you receive them as soon as possible. We can then follow up with a telemedicine appointment to make sure they fit properly.
Waiving 40% of Outstanding Bills of 60+ Days, When Paid Now
We understand that times such as these can often lead to unexpected financial pressure. We want to help ease some of that stress , for patients with outstanding balances of more than 60 days.
Until May 31, any such accounts that have an outstanding bill still owed to Omega Medical Group, we will take 40% off the total outstanding balance.
In times like these, you shouldn’t have to worry about whether you’ll be able to get the care you need, or whether you’ll be able to pay your medical bills. We hope this can serve as a boost to many patients moving forward past the virus.
Please call our office if you have any questions about this policy.
Considerate Care, Now and Into the Future
We look forward to a “return to normalcy.” Until then, however, we continue to serve you safely and to the best of our abilities.
