Pain Relief with Stem Cell Therapy
Medical technology has come a long way, even in just the last few decades. Thanks to new innovations, we’re able to offer patients a range of existing new conservative treatment options that are helping them overcome even the toughest, most resilient pain—all without surgery. One of the most effective treatments we’re now offering at our office is stem cell therapy.
The procedure we use in our office is called Clarix Flo. The stem cells come from donated placental tissue. When mothers deliver healthy babies through C-section, they may voluntarily choose to donate the leftover amniotic membrane and umbilical cord tissue for medical purposes. That tissue is then rigorously screened to ensure it can be safely used for therapeutic purposes.
Stem cells are, quite simply, amazing. They are “undifferentiated,” meaning they can grow into whatever type of cell the body needs it to be. Inject a sample of stem cells into an injured tendon, muscle, or organ, and they can begin to divide and grow into the correct type of cell, repairing the damage and accelerating healing.
Because of its ability to differentiate into different cell types, and because it provides an anti-inflammatory effect, stem cells from placental tissue are extremely effective in treating inflammatory conditions such as plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis. It is also ideal for repairing partial tears and direct damage to tendons, ligaments, and muscles—for example, ankle sprains.
It doesn’t take much—one simple injection at our office may be enough to set the entire process in motion. Essentially, the stem cells allow your body to repair itself faster, engaging the cellular functions necessary to bring quicker healing.
We provide this game-changing treatment to our patients because we are passionate about helping them achieve their goals and restoring their desired lifestyle and activity level. Chronic foot pain, obviously, has is bad for mind and body, because it forces you to stop doing what you love.
